YUMA CHOICE COALITION
Inspiring Impactful Change

WHO WE ARE
Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly in the actions of our initiatives. After the overturn of Roe V. Wade we understood that we were in dire need of advocates for Yuma County. By working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Yuma Choice Coalition. We strive to make a positive change in all of our pursuits.
We’re here to educate officials about the issues affecting our reproductive freedom and the impact it has. We want to shift the dialogue around abortion and end the stigma that is often placed on accessing basic health services.
Our Mission
Yuma Choice Coalition was formed in response to the Supreme Court's reversal of Roe. V. Wade. We seek to build a community where all of its members are safe, healthy, educated and cared for. We seek to accomplish this goal by collaborating with established systems of care. We demand our leaders be accountable to our community by providing advocacy, education and funding for critical health and human services.

LESSONS LEARNED: OSA TRAINING AND TOOL KITS
OSA stands for Operation Save Abortion. We had members of Yuma Choice Coalition (YCC) attend OSA training and provide us with valuable information regarding fighting for reproductive rights and how to do it effectively.
OSA provide training videos and a tool kit so we can continue to help continue to raise awareness and educate those around us.

LISTEN UP: SPEAKING AT THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING
On July 20, 2022, members of the Yuma Choice Coalition spoke to City Council members. We asked the City Council to put more funding and resources into Amberley's Place, which is currently extremely under-funded and over worked. We also asked the Mayor and other City Council members to advocate for the people of Yuma County and use their connections with state legislators and representatives.
